There's a drying room for footwear, accessories and clothing.

A secure cycle stores, wash down hose, cycle repair stand and we have various tools too. 

Golfers can store trolleys and bags safely, trolley batteries can recharged overnight too.  

Packed lunches can be provided and flasks can filled in the morning to fuel your adventures.

You'll find our book shelves are over flowing with outdoor literature as well as every conceivable book written about Arran.

Just ask for us for local knowledge on Arran's various activities .

We do ask that you fill out a route card at reception when you leave for your day in the hills- it means we can just keep an eye out for your return- and if in the unlikely event you don't - Robbie and the other members of the Arran Mountain Rescue team will have an idea where to start looking!

The Drying Room
Arran’s weather is very fickle, the island has it's fair share of rain. To help make your stay even more comfortable, you will have the use of our drying facility.

When you arrive back at the The Glenartney Guesthouse after an enjoyable day, you can dry any gear for the next day's use. Walking boots and golf shoes can be dried using specifically designed 'Dry guys' - an inverted footwear dryer, that can dry the most sodden footwear in hours.

Clothing can hung in the warm convected air to dry slowly over night.

Rucksacks can also get very wet too! These will dry, but will take longer to dry out completely.

We do ask that no wet gear or dirty boots is taken into your room.

Cycle wash and repair

We have a wash area to one side of our drive where cycles, boots and even dogs can be rinsed off . 

If you need to repair your bike we have a stand and Miles( our mountain bike mad son) may lend you some tools or do the repair for you.

The Store Room
We have plenty of storage room for golf bags and bikes in our store room.

Both the drying room and store room are locked and secure over night.

The Glenartney Packed Lunch
Well worth ordering before your day out are sandwiches (brown or white) filled with any combo of tuna mayo, Cheese Pickle (Branston, Mango Chutney or Piccalilli), fruit, packet of crisps, choccy bar and cereal bar.

Don't forget we have flasks and adjustable walking poles available if you need them.
