The museum only shows items related to Arran. It is run by dedicated volunteers. You can book a Wednesday session in the geneaoligy department , it is so interesting it's hard to leave!
A Taste of Arran encompasses the food and drink companies who are based on Arran.  you can find out about the companies and order on products on-line.
Arran distillers are based in Lochranza, a tour around the distillery is a must !
Arran Brewery are based just outside Brodick in Cladach, you can have a short tour and taste the different beers on offer.
A short stay or a day trip is something always to be remembered.  There's no alcohol, music or dogs allowed!.
Arran is full of artists, some of who show at The Arran Art Gallery in Whiting Bay.   Other's show in their own studios and around the island so keep a look out for signs to studios and potteries!
Brodick Golf Club  Brodick golf club is a 3 minute walk from the Glenartney.

Calmac sails from Ardrossan to Brodick. This is the main way to get to Arran. There is a car park at Ardrossan if you decide not bring a car over (car and bike hire is available on Arran)

There is also a route from the North- Clonaig to Lochranza.

The Ardrossan Harbour train from Glasgow Central links in with the ferry- very convenient, economical and easy. Just take your bike on this train so the conductor told me- check this!!!
Easy jet fly from Glasgow Airport, there's an airport bus to Paisley Gilmore Street station which allows you to jump on the Arossan harbour train.
Ryan Air fly from Prestwick, just get on the train at the airport to Kilwinning and change for Arossan Harbour.
Taxi to Arran Ferry This taxi company can be pre booked to take you directly to the ferry from Glasgow Airport.
Ardrossan local Taxi Taxi service to Prestwick and Glasgow Airports and local train stations. Mention The Glenartney  when booking and get 10% discount.
